He wanted a bike.
Evidently it is a popular item for the kids at the O to request.
We were fortunate enough to be given a little bike from a friend. It came with training wheels and all. So we were set for him with a bike. Or so we thought.
You see we are talking about Jonas. He has always gone far above what he should be capable of for his age. He mastered the little bike and asked Todd to take off the training wheels after a few days. Todd thought why not and so Jonas set out to ride his bike without the training wheels. No problem! Seriously he did it all in one fell swoop. It was crazy to see our little boy just riding away on his two wheels.

Fast forward a few days and we were cleaning out our yard barn. Low and behold there was an even bigger bike someone had given us the year before for Jonas. We had completely forgotten all about it. Now what do you think Jonas saw out of all the things stuffed in our yard barn? Yep, the bike all the way in the back. He declared it was his and begged papa to get it out so he could ride it. It was a size up from his little one and he had no problems what so ever riding it too.
So then our son, remember we are talking about Jonas, decided if he could ride those two bikes then he could ride his sister Megan’s’ bike. WAY bigger mind you. But…he did just that! Of course he looked like a Harley bike rider reaching way out to hold the handle bars. too funny!
I tell you what when he sets his mind to it, there isn’t anything he won’t try to do! But I think it is the Haitian way. I don’t ever hear any of them say they CAN"T do something. They are always willing to try anything.
So here is video from the first “little” bike. Too funny huh?

He sure does love his bike! He still gets upset when I do not let him ride is sister's bike. Even thought he can technically ride it, it is still too big for him and he struggles to sontroll it. Thus a lot of scrapped knees and elbows happen.
We had to set boundaries for him where riding his bike is concerned. He still doesn’t think it’s fair that his sisters get to go further. But he is slowly but surely learning some things come with age!
Hugs, Kristina

Oh my. That is way too cute! I guess I need to start thinking of him as a big kid instead of a little boy!
