Ellie Daphkaline
I had not watched my video footage from my trip in April since we committed to Ellie. To my utter joy I found some video footage and wanted to share it with you.
Jonas is sitting on my lap while I am taping because he wanted to watch the video camera monitor while I taped. All the kids love to do this. Anyways, if you listen real carefully every time I say "Daphkaline" you will hear Jonas repeating what I say in that cute gravely voice of his!
I have been struggling lately. Todd says I'm too hard on myself. I miss them! All I want to do is just hold them. You know to FEEL that connection. sigh. I wish I could go to Haiti again.
Well this video really lightened my heart. I hope you enjoy it too, no matter how brief it is. She is beautiful and sweet and gentle. Jonas is loving and adventurous and has one of the cutest voices I have ever heard! These are my Haitian children and I couldn't be more proud. I feel so incredibly blessed that God has given them to me!

She is such a cutie pie. I wish I would have spent more time in the baby room! I told Zoe that this little girl is the sister to the boy who does the awesome round-offs. Zoe says, Oh, I bet she'll do good round-offs too!
