Catch Up Time!

Things have gone so fast and furious lately I have neglected to share some goings on in our lives.

In October:

My youngest brother Michael got married to a really sweet girl, Michelle. I was one of the bride's maids. It was a fun weekend and I got to see a lot of my relatives I don't normally get to see.

But I have to say the coolest thing for me was having a moment to pray with my brother alone before the wedding. It was an amazing, God honoring moment. It is hard being the only sister of 3 brothers. They do all kinds of bonding things as brothers, which is only natural. So there are times I feel left out and not so close to them. So when God blesses me with these few minutes of special time with them, I feel like God has smiled on me. I love my brothers and as I have gotten to know their wives, I have grown to love them too.

We took a trip to Lexington to hook up with some old friends who happen to be adopting from Haiti as well. Chris and Lisa Wells are awesome! We offered to come to Lexington to do a "Pictures In The Park" for their adoption. They only agreed to do so if we split it with them. How generous is that?

We had so much fun with them! Our kids started playing together like they had known each other forever. It was crazy how well everything went! It was nice to spend time with friends who know and understand what you are going thru with your adoption.

We also got to visit with some other old friends. It was a great weekend!
