SAND STORMS COMING YOUR WAY?

Recently a lot of us adoptive families have been facing our own set of sand storms. Some dealing with the fires in CA, others getting bad news about their adoption process, some financial, and on and on.

The enemy is attacking, with a fierceness, those of us who are adopting. Please pray for protection for all of adoption processes. And remember that we are not afraid. We KNOW what we have been called to do and whom we serve. We serve the Almighty God!!! Nothing is to big for him!!!! I am excited to see how he will remove these mountains that have been placed in our lives.

I received the following from my cousin today, and the timing couldn't be more perfect for me. Hope you find comfort in it too!

Hugs, Kristina

COMFORTED IN THE SAND STORM

Beloved, you have been following Me on an uncharted path. Do you feel as though you are caught in a blinding sand storm and can go no further? Does it seem as though sand is stinging your precious cheeks with the wind whipping against you and absolute darkness surrounding you? Oh loved one of Mine! Here I AM! Feel My big warm arms around you. Let Me shield you from the wind and the bite of the sand. Lean against Me in your weariness and let Me support your weight. When the storm clears, you will see clearly miles away!

“They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.” (Psalm 112:7-8 NLT)

Yes Kristina,
I believe that the enemy is furious that these precious children, chidren of God, are being adopted into loving, Christian homes. He is attacking and we must stand firm in the word of our Lord...we must stand strong in our faith...and we must intercede for one another in prayer. For through prayer and petition, God will guide us and we will bring our children home...for His glory! I rejoice in the Lord for His goodness and that He has called us to adopt one of His own. I am praying!!!

Sand storms indeed. How wonderful it is to know that we serve a God that is bigger then all of these storms. We all need to be praying for this process, each other, and our children.
Thank you Father for your faithfulness. I pray that we find joy and peace in all things. I pray that we stand strong in our faith.

thanks, kristina! this was a really encouraging post. it's true, things are tough. but if we can't trust in our great God, we have nothing! He is so much bigger than these issues.

Awesome! Amen! We are praying here!! Thank you for all the prayers you have sent our way! It also says somewhere in Psalms that God laughs at the schemes of the evil one. The Devil's ways are so predictable to God. God is so huge... praise Him!

It's always good to read words like these- and so affirming. The struggles really only indicate that we're on the right path, eh? If it weren't God's plan for us to bring these kiddos into our homes, then I expect the enemy would stay out of the way and find other people to bother.
