Needing Prayer

Ok, I am sharing some very specific prayer request. I am going to do my very best to explain this in layman's terms for those who are not familiar with the adoption process.

Things are at the point where we feel prayer is the only thing that can change things. So will you join us in prayer?

JONAS: Jonas' file is stuck in Parquet. Parquet is basically a judge signing off on the file. This is where we would be made his legal parent's in the eyes of the law in Haiti. The gentleman who needs to sign it is refusing to do so. But not just our file, many others as well. And because there is no checks and balances in Haiti he can get away with this.

prayer request- That our file would get signed OR this man would be removed from office and someone else put in his place that cares about these children and want them to get into good homes.

ELLIE: We are waiting for Ellie's birth certificate to be issued. Once that happens we can then go to the DHS (department of homeland security) office and officially file our intent to adopt her. Here is the problem. Our 171H approval expires in April. 171H is the approval from the US government to pursue a foreign adoption. If we don't file before it expires we have to start the whole process on the US side all over again. This will cost us valuable time and money.

We need to also have her submitted to IBESR (Haitian social services) before our home study expires in August. Now I know you think August? That's plenty of time. But in Haiti where things move at a slow pace we will be pushing it to make the deadline.

Prayer request- We would get Ellie's birth certificate in the next two weeks so I can fly down to Haiti and file our paper work.

I recently read an article that will help all to better understand what is happening in Haiti. Go HERE.

Thank you for all your prayers! I truly believe a lot of wars are won on our knees!
Hugs, Kristina

Oh Kristina - I so agree with you that it seems that the only thing that will move this mountain is God! Our file is stuck there too. Although, I do have this elaborate fantasy about taking the guy a chocolate cake and a couple of $20s...

Praying, praying, praying!!

Kristina, Vera emailed me this same article, and it has saddened me. I do continue to have peace about all this! Not all the time, but most. As you have told me, God has called you to adopt these children, and therefor will bring them home! Praying for every 3A's adoption!

God is faithful and nothing is impossible for Him...stand on His promises, lean on His grace. Love in Christ, April

Kristina- I'm so sorry! I know how your heart aches for your children, and I pray for your peace and comfort.

I will be praying for your Parquet exit for Jonas and for that birth certificate to be issued immediately for your gorgeous daughter.

Oh, my goodness. I found you through Kimberly at A Planting of the Lord. I will be praying for your specific needs DAILY! Our God is big. He is bigger than red tape and bigger than stubborn people in offices they don't need to be in. I pray for His will to be done in this situation. I pray for patience and peace for you as you go through the process. I pray for hope for little Jonas and Ellie as they await the forever family the Lord picked out for them - you!
