JONAS:
This is one of the first picture of Jonas. Taken October of 2005.
This one taken this month.
Jonas is now 35.2lbs. and 37in tall.
School report: Jonas' teacher says he is a good boy and a pretty good student. He always repeats after the teacher when given instruction. He sometimes goofs around too much in class and distracts the other kids sitting next to him. He seems to really enjoy practicing his writing and coloring.
ELLIE:
The first one was taken the very first day I met Ellie. The second one is from the trip that went in February. I don't have any statistics on Ellie. She must have been asleep when they did all the measuring. She won't start school in Haiti till this fall, IF she is still there. Hey, hope springs eternal!
Ellie's pictures show something I wanted to share with those of you who aren't adopting. Something really beautiful happens to all the children at the orphanage when they get a forever family. Their whole countenance changes. It's as if they "know" they are loved and their spirits soar with joy.
I know Todd and I prayed that both Jonas and Ellie would know in a spiritual way that they had a family. A family who loved them and was fighting for them. I specifically prayed that they would see our faces in their dreams.
It is just cool how God does that. What a sweet message it must be to their souls that they now belong to a forever family!
Jonas & Ellie, your forever family is overjoyed about you and we can't wait to have you home!
Hugs, Kristina

beautiful kids! It is wonderful to see the change that a forever family brings to their faces!
Adorable.
it is an incredible and tangible phenomenon when the children discover they have a family waiting for them to come home!! i was amazed time and again watching them!!
want a good example?! look at sandy's post of hermann and his grandpa!!! praise God for placing children in wonderful, loving families!!
Your children are beautiful, all 5 of them!!!
Thank you so much for responding to my comment. I was sure you probably did have a blog, but I had no idea how to find you...hence the signing up for YouTube! :) I just couldn't watch your video and then walk away as if I had never seen it.
I will be praying. I have been reading over your blog, and I saw your post about specific prayer requests. I am going to put a link to your page on mine if that is alright. And if you don't mind, I would like to put your video, too, so that more can be praying for you. Just let me know. I do not want to do anything without you okaying it!
I love seeing your heart for your babies in Haiti and for your sweeties at home. I have three girls. :)
I am so glad to "meet" you!
Love and Blessings,
Kimberly
Hi!
I came by way of Kimberly at A Planting of the Lord. The video is beautiful. What an awesome thing to have and show them. You have a beautiful family and I want you to know that I have prayed that God would lead the way in this adoption and that he would open the doors necessary to make it happen. I also prayed that He would lay you on my heart often so that I can continue to pray.
I'll be checking out your site often to get updates.
Bless you and your family!!

Kristina-
I CAN"T BELIEVE HOW MUCH THEY HAVE GROWN!! They still had that baby look when I first saw their pictures and now they look like a young man and a little lady. I can't imagine how hard that is as a mama waiting for her babies to come home! But I am always amazed at how the Lord upholds you in all these challenges!
It truly is a beatiful thing to see the seeds of hope and love grow into that beautiful twinkle in their eyes! What a blessing you are to them and they are to you as well :).
My love and prayers for you all!
wow...they change so fast. You have BEAUTIFUL children. I can't get over how cute they are. You are so blessed!!! :)
