Ok, first know that for whatever reason I am having a really hard time posting to blogger. So I apologize for taking so long to answer some of your questions.
1. Name?

wife, mom, mama blan, mama Jonas, mama Ellie, daughter, sister, friend, niece, aunt, doctor/nurse, singer, cook, taxi driver, therepist, councelor, teacher, artist, bobo kisser, vet, grocery shopper, book keeper, cleaning lady, domestic goddes...and the list goes on.
But my most favorite and top of the list even before my given name....Child of God!
2. Favorite color?
PURPLE...PURPLE....PURPLE!!!!!!!!
3. What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
Seriously?
Well if I must.....African or European? Since I don't know which I will direct you here .
4. Have I ever thought about trying out for America's Got Talent?
No.
5. The coolest place I have ever performed at?
2 things here...
When I toured with the professional theater company after college we actually performed at the Fox theater in St. Louise, MO. It was the coolest experience! My name is actually signed on a wall back stage. And it's probably painted over by now, but it's there.
The second was winning a local radio stations contest my senior year in high school. I got to sing back up with REO Speedwagon at our local stadium. Too cool for words!
But to add something extra, the coolest or most memorable experience performing was 14 years ago. Todd and I were involved in a business venture and we had a convention to attend. They always started their meetings with the national anthem. I had to sing it first for some of the leaders, to make sure I could sing, and then waited several hours for an answer. When it came I had 3 hours to go to a local mall, find a formal dress and shoes, AND get dressed and ready to sing. When I stepped onto the stage I was so freaking nervous!!!!!! I took a deep breath and started. The version I was singing is a few notes shy of a 3 octive range. The first verse is the traditional verse. The second verse keeps going up the scale and ends on a ridiculously high note. Most people aren't familiar with this version even though Sadi Patti sang it at the rededication of the Statue of Liberty. So after I got done singing the traditional verse there was a thunderous applause, I relaxed (they liked it) and started the second verse. As I got closer to the ending it gets tense and I prayed in my head that God would allow me to hit the notes right on. I mean we have all heard singers try to hit high notes and not quite make it. I didn't want to be one of those. LOL. I knew I could hit the highest notes, but there is alot to factor in when singing, nerves being one of them. But as soon as I hit the last, and highest note, I knew I hit it, and it felt GOOD! And then I realized people were already clapping and cheering. I don't remember walking off the stage.
It was the closest I ever got to one of my dreams. Singing a concert in front of thousands of people. There were over 10,000 people there that night.
6. What is my biggest fear? SPIDERS
How do you tackle that fear?
With a really big shoe!!!!! And a bug dance to shake off the heeby jeebies!
What would you say to others with a similar fear? Have a lot of shoes.
The rest all warranted longer answers and more thought, so I have decided to do blogs about them. Check back frequently. You won't want to miss the pictures I plan on posting about Todd and I!
Hugs, Kristina

I was one of the 10,000 and you did great!
That is so awesome about the 10,000!!! I can't imagine doing that song in front of all of those people. To me it's the hardest song of all to sing. You rock!!!
Spiders & shoes...a nice combo :o)
Great way to tackle that velocity question. LOL!!
Totally agree about the spiders.
And I know you rocked the house with that voice of yours. It's amazing!!! Wish I could have been there but you probably wouldn't have heard me cheering with 10,000 other people. That's crazy. I would have passed out from nervousness. :)
that's awesome about singing at the convention! (and of course the other experiences you mentioned are pretty stickin' neat too!)
i'm right there w/ ya on the spiders!! except i normally don't tackle my fear. i make someone else my fear w/ a shoe!
Ditto on the spiders, but do you have any suggestions for mice??? I avoid ANY place that I may run into a mouse, but how do you avoid a drive-thru with a mouse?? Seriously I seen one on the ground next to the drive thru window once!! YUCK!!
