COUSINS

Who knew when Michelle and I started praying for God to expand our Haitian community here in Evansville, that he would do it thru my brother and sister-in-law!!!!!!
YEP! Troy and Cathy Burnett have decided to adopt as well! Great rejoicing in the Burnett house hold!
When I asked Cathy to go with me to Haiti, it was because Todd was not able to go with me and I wanted someone in my family to go with me. I prayed and asked God to show me who to ask. It didn't take long...God made it very clear to me that I was to ask Cathy. It took a bit for Cathy to get the same message, but she did and her and Alyssa came to Haiti with me. It was an amazing journey and now have a special bond with the two of them!
Well once we all got back, Cathy could not stop thinking about the children, in particular, one child, Manthania.
(mahn tahn eeah)
Manthania was found abandoned in a village after a flood. Great effort was made to locate her parents, but to no avail. They are believed to be dead, having drowned in the flood.

Cathy COULD NOT get her off her mind. She and Troy talked about it, prayed about it, and decided to go ahead and pursue adopting her.
I am ECSTATIC!!!!!!!!! I never dreamed someone in my own family would be called to adopt as well. She will be a blessing to our family and definitely loved!
I have to admit I focused so much on Jonas that I didn't love on the other children as much. But I can tell you God was already preparing me for Manthania to be in my family. I felt drawn to her but in a different way than Jonas. At one point her and Jonas were beside each other and I had an overwhelming feeling I was to photograph them. So I did. Little did I know it would be the picture for our family to cling to.Cousins!
