One of the drummers at our church is a high school student named Justin. Justin is 16 and the son of our praise and worship leader, who happens to be from Haiti. He has only been playing the drums for 4 years but he is amazing!!!!! There is something about when he plays that just makes you stop and really pay attention. I know that sounds crazy but the Lord has really blessed him with a talent for drums.
Jonas loves Justin!
So, we asked Justin if he would ever consider giving drumming lessons to Jonas. We know he is only 4 years old, so we didn't expect anything grand, just the basics.
Justin agreed. (squeal!)
So, tonight...the lessons began! Justin even bought Jonas his own set of sticks. How sweet is that?
Every Wednesday night before choir practice he will have about a half hour lesson.
We just felt like this was something that could possibly be important to Jonas. He obviously loves the drums. But also drums and drumming is a part of Haitian culture.
So do we have a drummer in the making?

Yeah! This is so awesome! And it just so happens we have a Haitian drummer named Justin coming soon to a house near us! ...oh wait, that would be OUR house! He's been a "pro" drummer since he was two. I so hope he and Jonas can get together one day and jam out!

I miss your church!
We did go to a huge church in town for Easter. It was like attending a concert. The pastor had a good message and the music was good, I was able to worship the Lord. No offese to this group of believers I was with but it made me miss being with your church family. I praise God for people who truly care for oneanother! Big Hugs!
