HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILLIE!
Yep, that's right, Lillie is 9 today. I can't believe another year has passed.
Lillie is a complex little girl. I pray quite a bit about her. Not sure what to think or how to handle her at times. Not in a bad way, just trying to figure out how to communicate to her without crushing her spirit. And at times I must confess I have gotten it all wrong, thus the constant prayers.
She is one tough little girl, and yet underneath all of that so incredible vulnerable. It boggles my mind at times. And yet, excites me beyond belief. She has a zest for life and people and all living things. She is tenacious and loving and kind, yet bossy and loud and NEVER runs out of things to say. Seriously, never!
She wins my heart over every time she asks to snuggle with me, me! What a privilege to hold her and just drink her in! She is AMAZING with people who have disabilities and her most tender moments can be observed while she is loving on animals. She is a little ball of fire. And I love her! Every inch of her. And I can NOT wait for the day that she is on fire for God's kingdom. Because I have no doubt God has great things in store for this child of mine. And I feel blessed to call her mine!

Jean-Paul was looking through my pictures and saw Lillie saying, "WOW, what a BEAUTIFUL girl!" That she is! She seems to have a special place in his heart.
I will always treasure our time together and everytime I have a "comocozy" Icee I will smile and think of Lillie's amazed face when she said, "YOU CAN DO THAT!"
