YES!

YES...we had a visa appointment!
YES...the visa will be picked up Tuesday afternoon!!

YES...the plane tickets have been purchased!!!

YES, YES, YES...our son WILL finally be home on Saturday January 17th 2009!!!!!
I can't believe it is finally here! Todd and I have been running around like chickens with their heads cut off! The phone has been ringing off the hook all afternoon. Boy word gets around fast! I am in a daze! It all seems so surreal.

I got the call from Gretchen while I was at work, my first day at a new school! My new teacher was awesome! She knew I was expecting a call to tell me. When I got it I went into the hall. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS TO NOT SCREAM!!!!! But I couldn't freak out the whole school! I am loud you know. :o

I called Todd immediately after getting off the phone with Gretchen. I GOT HIS VOICE MAIL!!! Yes, I really did! Of all the times for him not to answer his phone! He called me right back and I asked him if he was ready to go get our son! We both cried. I then called my sister-in-law, Cathy. She is also adopting two children. God has bonded us together thru this adoption process and I can truly say she is my sister! (Love you Cathy)

So I went back into the classroom and my teacher asks if it was "the" call. I started crying again and told her yes. She said I could go take a minute if I needed to, just to get myself together and call anyone else I needed to call. (told you she was great) So I took 5 more minutes and called my mom and best friend in Florida.

After work I headed home with a "to do" list a mile long. Called all the local parents to see if we could take anything to their kids, called the rest of our family and some friends we knew didn't do the whole computer thing, booked Todd and Jonas' plane tickets and haven't stopped moving since!

ANYONE who wants to come to the airport is welcome! Todd and Jonas' flight gets in this Saturday January 17th at 11:20 am. Come a bit early. And please pray that the snow in Chicago does NOT delay or cancel their flights!!!!

sigh

All I can say is God is good! Thank you Lord for my son!!!!!

Hugs, Kristina

I've been following your blog for a few months now. I got your "info" from a fund raising picture taking email. Anyway....I am so happy for you. As an adoptive mom I'm sitting here crying tears of joy with you. I pray that all goes well with the weather and that you husband and SON arrive on time. Wishing you many blessing, happiness and much joy.
