Fundraisers

The Lord has given us so many fundraiser ideas. These are things we can do (taking a step of faith). Michelle has told me people will either think it is great and help where they can, or won't. I feel we are either doers or senders.
Doers ...They are the people who go and actually do things.They do not wait for life to pass them by. Examples: they go on mission trips,they fundraise, they do the work.
Senders...They are the ones who "send" the doers. Examples, they can't physically go on missions trips so they give money or prayer support for others to go. Or, they aren't doers but they like to send others and give thier support in other ways.

Which one are you? Both maybe?

Our Ideas...

YARD SALE- Have a yard sale and all proceeds go to Jonas. Ask others if they have items they have wanted to get rid of that they don't mind donating.

Concert- Use the gift God has given me and sing for Jonas! Ask other singers to join me in singing. Call it "Kristina and Friends." Take up a love offering. Even if people don't feel called to give, they can enjoy a free concert.

Silent Auction-Get donated new items, gift certificates, etc. to have a silent auction. Highest bidder wins and money goes to Jonas. Possibly do this at the concert.

Photos in the Park- A whole day where friends and families can book a photo session at a local park in 20 min. increments. Todd would take thier pics as many as he could in 20 min. after which we put them to disk and the family takes it with them. We would give up the copy rights so the families could take the disks to any lab and get what prints they want.

Ebay- Put items up for sale on Ebay.

Mary Kay Party - A friend offered to do a party for me and she would give all profits for Jonas.

Jonas Jar- We all have loose change around the house, in our purses, dressor drawers, cars,etc. Get a jar and put all loose change in it and when it's full take and deposit it into the bank for Jonas. Invite/ask others if they would like to do the same. Then afterwards they would be in the habit of saving their change and can save for themselves.
The jar could be anything, a spagetti sauce jar, a flower pot,a glass, one friend even did a baby bottle.

The possibilities are endless. We are dong everything on our end. We are doing. But it is God who wil speak to peoples hearts about giving. We could do all the fundraisers in the world, and if it isn't in God's plan it won't happen. But we believe it is in God's plan and that He will bless us for our obedience.
